Terms of Use and Booking
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern your use of 3ta.info and the hotel booking service we provide through it (together, the “Service”). They are made between you and 3TA Tourism Management Limited (“3TA”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Hong Kong (Business Registration No. 75488124), of Room 1003, 10/F, Tower Two, Lippo Centre, 89 Queensway, Admiralty, Hong Kong.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. When you confirm a booking, you will be asked to accept them, together with the hotel’s rate rules shown for that booking. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
In these Terms:
- “you” means the person using the Service, or the person for whom an AI assistant is acting;
- “AI assistant” means any software agent, assistant, application or automated system that uses the Service on a person’s behalf;
- “hotel” means the hotel, or the company operating it, that provides the accommodation;
- “offer” means a rate for a room, with its price, taxes, fees and rules, as returned by the hotel through Sabre;
- “booking” means a reservation you confirm through the Service.
2. Current status of the Service
Live availability, rates and booking are not open yet. Until they open, the Service provides hotel information only, and nothing on it is an offer to provide accommodation. Sections 4 to 9 describe how bookings will work and apply to bookings made after booking opens. We will update these Terms before booking opens if anything changes.
3. What 3TA does
3TA is a hotel accommodation booking service. We present a curated collection of hotels, obtain live offers from hotels through the Sabre global distribution system (“Sabre”), and send your booking to the hotel.
- The hotel provides your stay. Your contract for accommodation is with the hotel. The hotel is responsible for providing the room and services it has confirmed, and its own house rules apply during your stay. 3TA arranges the booking as an intermediary.
- How we are paid. You do not pay 3TA for a booking. Hotels pay 3TA a commission on many completed stays. Commission does not change the price you pay the hotel.
- Hotel bookings only. 3TA does not sell flights, other transport or package tours. 3TA does not hold a travel agent’s licence under the Travel Industry Ordinance (Cap. 634). Bookings made through 3TA are therefore not covered by the protection available for outbound travel services bought from licensed travel agents, including the Travel Industry Compensation Fund.
4. Offers, prices and taxes
- Source of offers. Every rate, tax, fee, cancellation rule, guarantee rule and rate description shown with an offer comes from the hotel through Sabre. We display it as received and do not set hotel prices. Room and rate descriptions are often provided by hotels in English only.
- What the price includes. Before you confirm, we show the nightly rate, the total for your stay, and the taxes and fees the hotel has itemised. Some hotels charge additional local taxes or fees (for example, city or resort fees) that are payable at the hotel. Where the hotel tells us about them, we show them. Where the hotel’s offer does not include an amount, we cannot show it.
- Currency. Prices are shown in the currency the hotel quotes, normally its local currency. Any conversion into another currency is for information only. Your card issuer may apply its own exchange rate and fees when the hotel charges you.
- Offers expire and change. An offer is valid only until the expiry time we show. Availability, prices and terms can change before you confirm. If they change, we show you the new details and ask you to confirm again. We will not confirm a booking on terms you have not seen.
- Errors. If an offer contains an obvious error (for example, a price clearly far below the real rate because of a technical fault), we will tell you as soon as we become aware of it, and you may cancel the booking free of charge or accept the corrected terms.
5. Making a booking
- You, or an AI assistant acting for you, choose a hotel, dates, room and offer.
- You review the booking on 3TA: hotel, dates, guests, total amount payable to the hotel, cancellation and guarantee rules, and the offer’s expiry.
- You personally confirm the booking on 3TA and enter your credit-card details to guarantee it. This step must be done by a human. See section 10.
- We send the booking to the hotel through Sabre. The booking is confirmed only when we show you a confirmation with the hotel’s confirmation number and send it to your email address.
If the result of a booking request is uncertain, for example because of a network failure, we check with the hotel or Sabre before trying again. We will not make a second booking without telling you.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. The details you provide must be accurate and complete. If you book for other guests, you confirm that you are authorised to give us their details and that you will make these Terms and our Privacy Policy available to them.
6. Credit-card guarantee and payment at the hotel
- No prepayment to 3TA. 3TA does not take payment for your room. Your card is used to guarantee the booking, and you pay the hotel directly, usually at the property.
- When the hotel may charge your card. The hotel may charge or pre-authorise your card in accordance with the guarantee and cancellation rules of your offer, for example a deposit if the rate requires one, a fee for late cancellation, or a charge if you do not arrive (a “no-show”). These rules are shown before you confirm. We do not promise that no charge will be made before your stay; that depends on the hotel’s rules.
- Disputes about charges. Questions about amounts charged by the hotel should be raised with the hotel. We will help you contact the hotel and pass on the booking information we hold.
- Your card details are entered by you on 3TA, are passed to the hotel through Sabre only to guarantee your booking, and are never requested from or returned to an AI assistant.
7. Changes, cancellations and no-shows
- Your changes and cancellations. You may cancel or change a booking through 3TA, or by contacting us, in accordance with the hotel’s rules for your offer. Cancellation deadlines are in the hotel’s local time unless stated otherwise. A cancellation or change is effective when we confirm it to you. A change of dates or room is treated as a new booking.
- Charges. If you cancel after the hotel’s deadline, or do not arrive, the hotel may charge you in accordance with its rules. 3TA does not charge a cancellation fee.
- Changes by the hotel. If the hotel cancels or materially changes your booking, we will tell you as soon as we know and help you find an alternative. Your remedies against the hotel are not affected.
8. 3TA Privileges
Some offers include 3TA Privileges, such as breakfast, a hotel credit, an upgrade, early check-in or late check-out. The benefits that apply are described with each offer. Privileges are provided by the hotel. Upgrades, early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability at the hotel unless the offer says they are guaranteed. If the hotel does not provide a privilege included in your confirmed offer, tell us and we will take it up with the hotel.
9. 3 COIN rewards
3 COIN is 3TA’s own reward for bookings made through this website. The current rules (version 3coin-v1) are published in our guide for AI assistants and summarised here:
- Each 3 COIN is worth US$0.01. You earn 3 COIN for each US$1 of the room rate before taxes and fees (3%), multiplied by your member tier, as shown with each offer.
- 3 COIN is credited 30 to 60 days after check-out, once we have confirmed the completed stay with the hotel. Cancelled bookings and no-shows earn nothing. Rates marked non-commissionable by the hotel earn nothing.
- 3 COIN belongs to the booking account. It is not cash, cannot be transferred or sold, and does not reduce the amount you pay the hotel. There is no expiry for now. Ways to use 3 COIN will be announced later.
- 3 COIN is separate from 3TA’s mainland-China mini program and from hotel loyalty programmes.
- We may reverse 3 COIN credited for a booking that is later cancelled, refunded or found to be fraudulent.
- We may change or end the programme for the future by giving at least 30 days’ notice. Changes do not reduce 3 COIN already credited, or the amount already fixed for a confirmed booking. If the programme ends, you may still use credited 3 COIN during the notice period in the ways available at that time.
10. AI assistants
3TA is designed to be used by people and by the AI assistants that act for them.
- Your authorisation. If you use an AI assistant with the Service, the assistant acts for you, within the permissions you give it. You are responsible for choosing and instructing the assistant, for the permissions you grant, and for the information it gives us on your behalf. You can withdraw an assistant’s access at any time; once accounts open, you can do so in your account.
- Human confirmation is required. An AI assistant may search, compare and prepare a booking. It cannot confirm a booking, accept a price or terms on your behalf, or enter card details. A booking is made only when you personally review and confirm it on 3TA. If the price, terms or offer change after an assistant prepared a booking, you must confirm again.
- What the assistant tells you. AI assistants are provided by third parties. We are not responsible for what an assistant tells you or how it summarises our content. The details shown to you on 3TA at confirmation prevail over anything an assistant said.
- Assistant operators. Operators of AI assistants must identify their software honestly (for example, in the User-Agent header), follow section 11, and must not request, store or transmit card details for 3TA bookings.
- Standing authorisations. We may in future allow you to authorise an assistant to book within limits you set without confirming each booking. That will be offered only under separate terms, which you will need to accept expressly.
11. Machine access, robots.txt and llms.txt
We welcome search engines and AI assistants. Automated access to the Service must follow these rules:
- Follow the directives in /robots.txt, and identify your crawler or agent truthfully.
- /llms.txt is our guide for AI assistants. It describes the Service, its current status, its URLs and our policies, including the 3 COIN rules. If llms.txt and these Terms differ, these Terms prevail.
- Hotel photographs are licensed to us by the hotels and their owners. You may not copy them for reuse, and you may not use them to train AI models. Our robots.txt excludes model-training crawlers from /media/.
- You may read, index and quote our content, with a link to the page, to answer a person’s question or to act for them.
- Do not overload or disrupt the Service, circumvent rate limits, access controls or security measures, or access non-public areas.
- Do not resell or redistribute our hotel data or offers as a dataset, or present 3TA content as your own.
- When we open our API and MCP server, they will be governed by additional terms published with them. Until then, nothing on 3ta.info except the published pages, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap.xml is offered for machine use.
We may block or restrict automated access that does not follow these rules.
12. Accounts
When accounts open, keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account, including activity by AI assistants you have authorised, unless it results from our failure to take reasonable care. We may suspend an account used fraudulently or in serious breach of these Terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
13. Hotel information and third-party marks
We take care to describe hotels accurately. Hotel facts, photographs and descriptions come from hotels, their owners and other sources, and hotels may change their facilities without telling us. Awards and recognitions, such as MICHELIN Keys and Stars or the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List, belong to their owners. We show them for information, and they do not mean that those owners endorse 3TA.
14. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, text and software belong to 3TA or its licensors. Hotel photographs and third-party marks belong to their owners and are used under licence or as permitted by law. Apart from the uses allowed in section 11, you may not copy, adapt or distribute our content without our written permission.
15. Our responsibility to you
- We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Supply of Services (Implied Terms) Ordinance (Cap. 457).
- The hotel, not 3TA, is responsible for providing the accommodation and services at the hotel. We are not responsible for the hotel’s acts or omissions, except where we have failed to use reasonable care and skill in making your booking.
- We are not responsible for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of Sabre, networks or hotel systems, provided we take reasonable steps to limit their effect.
- To the extent the law allows and it is reasonable, our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the greater of HK$5,000 and the total amount payable to the hotel for that booking, and we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded or restricted under the laws of Hong Kong, including the Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 71), the Supply of Services (Implied Terms) Ordinance (Cap. 457) and the Trade Descriptions Ordinance (Cap. 362). Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
16. Complaints
If something goes wrong, contact us at cservice@3ta.info with your booking details. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days. If it concerns the hotel, we will raise it with the hotel on your behalf. You may also contact the Hong Kong Consumer Council.
17. Electronic communications and records
You agree that the Service may form contracts by electronic means, and that confirmations, notices and records may be given to you electronically, in line with the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (Cap. 553). We keep a record of each booking confirmation, including the terms you accepted. You can ask us for a copy.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when booking, accounts or our API open, or when the law changes. We show the version number and effective date at the top. Each booking is governed by the version you accepted when you confirmed it. If a change materially affects you, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect.
19. Law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from the Service, are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction, and claims within its limits may be brought in the Small Claims Tribunal. If you are a consumer living outside Hong Kong, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your place of residence, and you may also bring proceedings there where those laws allow.
20. General
- If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- If we do not enforce a right immediately, we may still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to a successor business, provided your rights are not reduced.
- These Terms are written in English. Translations into Chinese, Japanese and Korean are provided for convenience. If they differ, the English version prevails.
